CBP Commissioner Keynoter at #AAEI2019

AAEI is honored to announce that U.S. Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Kevin K. McAleenan will be the keynote speaker at the 98th Annual AAEI Conference and Expo in Washington, DC this June.

Commissioner McAleenan ensures the effective operations of CBP’s mission to protect national security while promoting economic prosperity. In directing one of the agency’s core missions of trade enforcement, Mr. McAleenan oversees the facilitation of $4 trillion in international trade. CBP is the second-largest revenue collecting source in the federal government.

Mr. McAleenan has served as CBP Commissioner since March 20, 2018. His service record to the agency includes the titles of Acting Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner, among numerous other roles in U.S. Government’s Senior Executive Service which began in 2006. Those roles included Acting Assistant Commissioner of CBP’s Office of Field Operations and Area Port Director of Los Angeles International Airport. Mr. McAleenan received a 2015 Presidential Rank Award, the nation’s highest civil service award.

Commissioner McAleenan is credited with advancing the development of CBP’s trade transformation agenda, designed to help America compete in the global economy. The Commissioner currently is overseeing development of the agency’s proposed 21st Century Customs Framework.
