July 24, 2024 – AAEI recognizes members who lead the Association on key issues, initiatives, and projects. This week, we’re spotlighting Adam Nourse of Deloitte Tax LLP.
Adam recently participated as a co-chair of the Export and Global Trade Compliance Committee. At the last meeting, he provided updates on export control laws in Australia and the UK, as well as expanded regulations pertaining to the Russia and Belarus sanctions. Adam says he looks forward to continuing to support the members of AAEI.
Adam currently serves as Global Trade Advisory Manager at Deloitte Tax LLP, based in Salt Lake City, Utah, and has 13 years of experience in Global Trade Compliance. Prior to joining Deloitte Tax LLP, Adam worked in the Aerospace and Defense industry for 10 years specializing in Global Trade Compliance and Anti-Corruption. He currently provides regulatory guidance on U.S. EAR and ITAR regulations and has supported clients in industries including Aerospace and Defense, Telecommunications, and Electronics.
Adam has extensive experience managing large-scale Jurisdiction and Classification analysis projects, including analysis pertaining to encryption controls. During his tenure in industry, he managed and executed various export authorizations, such as export licenses and Technical Assistance Agreements (TAA) and lead the due diligence process for international third parties engaged by his company, in compliance with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA).
Adam is a Certified US Export Control Officer (CUSECO) and holds a Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain Management as well as an MBA from Weber State University in Ogden, Utah.
