Beyond the Customs Entry:

Identifying Tariff Recovery Opportunities in Supplier Costs

Free Webinar | October 28, 2026 | 1:30–2:30 p.m. ET

As the  Executive Order 14411, Strengthening Customs Enforcement,  places renewed emphasis on importer accountability, internal controls, and supply chain transparency, companies face growing pressure to understand, document, and substantiate how tariff costs move through their supply chains. But what happens when those costs extend beyond the original customs entry and become embedded in supplier pricing, surcharges, and other transactions?

Using a practical example, this session will examine how organizations can trace tariff-related costs from the original import through supplier invoices, payments, credits, and subsequent adjustments to identify potential recovery opportunities. Speakers will explore the documentation needed to establish a defensible cost trail, distinguish legitimate recovery opportunities from unexplained pricing changes, and strengthen internal controls across trade compliance, procurement, finance, and legal functions.

Attendees will gain practical insights into approaching supplier recovery discussions, avoiding duplicative recovery efforts, and improving cross-functional coordination while reinforcing the documentation and oversight practices needed to respond to heightened CBP scrutiny.
