The World Customs Organization (WCO) is welcoming back the American Association of Exporters and Importers to the Private Sector Consultative Group (PSCG), the WCO’s advisory group representing practitioners of international trade.
The PSCG serves to inform and advise the WCO Secretary General, the Policy Commission and WCO Members on Customs and international trade matters from the perspective of the private sector. The group supports the adoption and effective implementation of the WCO’s international instruments. The PSCG also leverages business resources and government relationships to advocate for and implement WCO programs.
AAEI will be represented at the PSCG meetings by President and CEO Eugene Laney, AAEI Chair Julie Parks, and AAEI member Donna Thresher, who is co-chair of AAEI’s International Policy Committee. The PSCG currently is holding virtual meetings.
