Eugene Laney takes charge of AAEI as President and CEO of the American Association of Exporters and Importers beginning in April 2021. With Laney’s arrival, AAEI marks its 100th Anniversary by setting course in a new direction.
“We are at a point in time where we can reimagine global trade for the next century with a future forward approach,” says Laney. “It’s a thrilling time for global trade and I want to give the association firm footing as we march into AAEI’s next 100 years.”
AAEI members will start getting to know their new President and CEO in the months ahead, including the upcoming 100th Anniversary Conference & Expo, a virtual event, from June 29 – July 1, 2021.
Laney replaces former AAEI President and CEO Marianne Rowden, who served AAEI for 16 years.
