This weeks spotlight is on Virginia Thompson of Thomson Reuters.
As chair of AAEI’s Nominating Committee, Virginia guides the Association’s leadership development effort. That includes finding new co-chairs for AAEI’s substantive committees and candidates for the governance committees, such as the Board of Governors. Virginia’s work, along with the other members of the Nominating Committee, will culminate this Spring in the annual AAEI Slate Election.
Virginia also is the former co-chair of the Regulated Industries Committee and led the work group to develop AAEI’s Blueprint to Trust in 2014. Elements of that document are still being discussed today.
At Thomson Reuters, Virginia is a Senior Product Manager. She is responsible for advancing Import/Export solutions globally to ensure market and regulatory needs are met. Prior to joining the software industry, Virginia had more than 20 years of experience managing the global transportation and trade compliance operations of a major U.S. retailer.
