This week, the spotlight is on Erika Vidal-Faulkenberry of Biogen.
Erika has been an active AAEI member since 2014, contributing to AAEI’s Border Interagency Committee (formerly RIC), Customs Policy and Procedures Committee, International Policy Committee and Trade Policy Committee. And after her recent move to Biogen, Erika now is busy with AAEI’s Healthcare Industries Committee.
Currently, Erika is serving as a member of the 16th Term of the Commercial Customs Operations Advisory Committee (COAC). She is a Lead on COAC’s Intelligent Enforcement Subcommittee, along with fellow AAEI members Heather Litman of GDLSK and Matt Zehner of Roanoke Insurance Group.
At Biogen, Erika is Global Lead of Trade Compliance, responsible for designing, setting, and implementing strategic direction, policy, and end to end capabilities, such as scalability, human capital, processes, and systems. Prior to Biogen, Erika had leadership roles in global trade, international logistics and distribution, and supply chain for strategic markets at The Hershey Company.
As if that’s not enough to keep Erika busy, she will be a moderator at AAEI’s 101st Annual Conference and Expo in Fort Lauderdale, which will be held June 13-15, 2022 at the Fort Lauderdale Marriott Harbor Beach Report & Spa. Erika’s panel, Harmonizing the Voices of Trade: Meet USG Trade Advisors, will discuss COAC’s role, history and priorities for the 16th Term.
