AAEI is spotlighting members who are helping lead the Association on key issues, initiatives and projects. Today, the spotlight is on Gilles Armstrong of Chevron Phillips Chemical Company.
Gilles is an active and longtime AAEI member, participating in AAEI’s Customs, Export, International Policy, and Trade Policy Committees. At Chevron, Gilles’s role as Global Trade Compliance Manager includes leading a team on digital systems enhancements for worldwide trade compliance and supply chain security policies/controls.
Gilles’s contributions to AAEI substantive committees stem, in part, from his knowledge and experience with trade issues as they impact importing and exporting.
But his most recent accomplishment at AAEI occurred at AAEI’s 101st Annual Conference and Expo in Fort Lauderdale, when he won the Grand Prize for AAEI’s annual conference Gamification contest, beating more than 300 other contestants in answering numerous questions in the AAEI Annual Conference & Expo mobile app.
