AAEI is spotlighting members who are helping lead the Association on key issues, initiatives and projects. This week, AAEI is featuring Marites (Tessa) Blanza-Woerner of The Hershey Company.
Hershey is a returning to AAEI thanks to Tessa’s efforts. Hershey was an active AAEI member for years, especially as participants on AAEI’s Regulated Industries Committee (now called AAEI’s Border Interagency Committee). But Hershey’s membership lapsed in 2019 due to a change in the company’s personnel. Tessa lobbied for Hershey’s return as a member in good standing because of the Association’s work on important trade issues, such as forced Labor compliance, customs modernization, and port congestion.
At The Hershey Company, Tessa is Senior Analyst of Global Trade Data. She is a licensed customs broker with a long tenure at Hershey working on the company’s imports and exports.
AAEI is pleased to welcome Hershey back to the membership and looks forward to working with Tessa and her colleagues.
