AAEI recognizes members who lead the Association on key issues, initiatives, and projects. This week, we spotlight Elizabeth Lomax of Lomax Associates.

Beth has served as co-chair of AAEI’s Healthcare Industries Committee (HIC) for more than 4 years. Because of Beth’s diligence and expertise, AAEI established quarterly meetings last year with top officials at the U.S Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to discuss trade compliance issues facing pharmaceutical and medical devices companies.

Beth has more than 25 years of experience in trade compliance and more than 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. She is the founder and president of Lomax Associates, Inc., a specialized trade consultancy practice focusing on the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors.

Beth’s career spans diverse roles, notably as the Head of Global Trade Compliance for Novartis Pharma AG in Basel, Switzerland. Prior, she managed trade compliance for Novartis’ U.S. pharmaceuticals business in New Jersey. Beth also worked in the customs and trade compliance group at Ernst & Young in New York and in the international trade practice of the law firm of Katten Muchin Zavis in Chicago. Her career in trade began in international purchasing at the V. Mueller division of Baxter Healthcare in Chicago.
