September 25, 2024 – AAEI recognizes members who lead the Association on key issues, initiatives, and projects. This week, AAEI spotlights Matt Guarrera of Vertex Pharmaceuticals.
Vertex Pharmaceuticals returned to AAEI this month. Matt and his manager Dan Muscato are excited to come back to the AAEI family and participate in the Healthcare Industries Committee.
Matt is Global Trade Compliance Director at Vertex Pharmaceuticals. Matt’s experience originates from the medical device industry in trade compliance, from which he has gained leadership experience managing global teams and complex logistics, customs, and trade operations in multiple countries. He specializes in international trade compliance, mergers and acquisitions, programs such as: C-TPAT, ISA, AEO, FCPA, EAR, ITAR, and he is also a licensed customs broker.
Matt also shares that he has two awesome teenage daughters—the youngest of whom is starting her first year at the University of Richmond in Virginia.
