October 23, 2024 — AAEI recognizes members who lead the Association on key issues, initiatives, and projects. This week, AAEI spotlights Randy Rucker of Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP.
Randy and the Faegre team are strong supporters of AAEI’s Benchmarking offerings. The law firm hosted a Benchmarking Roadshow in Minneapolis earlier this year, and will host the next one for AAEI in November (details below). Faegre Drinker also sponsored the 2024 Annual Conference “All-AAEI” Benchmarking session last June.
Randy advises global clients on all aspects of U.S. customs law, with a focus on optimizing trade operations and ensuring regulatory compliance. As a frequent author on trade policy, tariffs, and regulatory changes, Randy helps clients implement procedures that adhere to international trade statutes.
Randy has experience in merchandise classification, duty-preference programs, and free trade agreements. He also reviews internal procedures, identifies liabilities, and makes sure import compliance aligns with U.S statutes.
On November 14th, Faegre Drinker will host AAEI’s Benchmarking Roadshow at its Indianapolis offices from 8:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. This event is exclusive to importers and exporters. Attendees will discuss challenges related to forced labor and export controls. Faegre attorneys will conclude the event with a post-election lunch n’ learn session.
