AAEI’s 103rd Annual Conference and Expo will be held in Fort Lauderdale, June 10-12, 2024, with a focus on trade challenges facing importers and exporters and the strategies required to meet them. As the event approaches, AAEI is featuring many of this year’s conference speakers. The spotlight this week is on Nasim Fussell of Lot Sixteen.

Nasim will be a featured speaker for the Washington Insiders panel session.  This year’s conference will focus on the intersection of trade and sustainability, and Nasim will provide a bipartisan view of current proposed legislation and advocacy efforts for he issues involved. Some of the specific issues will include Green Trade, 301 Tariffs, China policy, Digital trade, the 2024 Election, and NextGen Customs.

Nasim worked on Capitol Hill during a period of rapidly evolving trade politics. She was Chief International Trade Counsel for the Senate Finance Committee and Trade Counsel for the House Ways and Means Committee, and worked for both sides of the aisle. At Lot Sixteen, a lobbying and communications firm, Nasim is the company’s Senior Vice President for International Trade Policy. Prior to Lot Sixteen, Nasim was a partner at Holland & Knight LLP.
