AAEI’s 103rd Annual Conference and Expo will be held in Fort Lauderdale, June 10-12, 2024, with a focus on trade challenges facing importers and exporters and the strategies required to meet them. As the event approaches, AAEI is featuring many of this year’s conference speakers. The spotlight this week is on Steve Johnsen of Bayer International Trade Services Corporation.

Steve, a former Chair of AAEI, will be a panelist for Global Trade Management Solutions, a session that will include covering good criteria for assessing potential GTMS vendors, necessary trade compliance parameters for a global product and benchmarking with importers and exporters on the standards they use for managing a global product.

At Bayer, Steve is President and CEO of two legal entities, Bayer Overseas Trade Services Corporation and Bayer International Trade Services Corporation. He is responsible for all aspects of trade policy and compliance for the more than $6 billion in annual international transactions of the Bayer North American operations. He is the senior compliance and policy advisor, specializing in the pharmaceutical, life science, chemical, petroleum, medical device and agriculture industries.

Steve’s panel is scheduled for Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at 9:30 a.m. EDT. For more information on AAEI’s annual conference, please click here.
