May 1, 2024 – AAEI’s 103rd Annual Conference and Expo in Fort Lauderdale, June 10-12, 2024, will focus on trade challenges facing importers and exporters and the strategies required to meet them. AAEI is featuring many of this year’s conference speakers. The spotlight this week is on Sydney Palmer of KPMG.
Sydney will be a panelist for “Export Sanctions: Building Future Business Opportunities.”
The wide-ranging sanctions and export controls that the U.S. and its partners have imposed on Russia and China pose complex compliance challenges for U.S. exporters. At AAEI’s annual conference, Sydney will discuss strategies to establish and monitor compliance while building new business prospects.
Sydney currently serves as Senior Manager at KPMG’s Trade and Customs Practice in Chicago. Sydney has in-house experience at a major aerospace company, where she focused on export licensing for both defense and commercial products. Most recently, she established an export compliance program and led the global trade function at a small marine robotics company.
Sydney has been with KPMG’s Trade & Customs practice for 5 years during which she has served clients of all sizes and industries as they tackle their greatest export control and sanctions risks and opportunities.
Sydney’s panel will be held on Tuesday, June 12, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. EDT. For more information and the latest updates on AAEI’s 2024 Annual Conference, see AAEI’s event webpage.
